I’ve just signed up for the beta of Garlik, an interesting new online service. It monitors how your personal information is being used online by monitoring databases and the web. The idea is to help you protect your privacy. It takes a few weeks to set up the service so it is too soon to report on how easy or effective it is to use.

The Garlik website lists no contact information.
Is it a good idea to give personal information to a website that gives no contact information for themselves?
